“A trip full of disappointment: there were 5 buses, each with around 100–150 people! All in one restaurant… We were supposed to see the sunrise above the clouds, but because of the large number of buses, there wasn’t enough space. Our driver ended up stopping somewhere in the mountains, and we missed the most beautiful part of the experience — the view of the moon. The tour guide was extremely rude. She said, “If you wanted to see the clouds, you should have rented a car and gone on your own.” Several people were begging her to at least drive to where the other buses were parked, drop everyone off,…”

His knowledge of Tenerife its history and geography and nature including the dates of all the eruptions and other historical notes of interest is phenomenal. “Disappointing. Very touristy. You’re on a huge bus with 50 other people. They bring you to a dumpy restaurant where you have 40 min to eat as fast as you can. Calling it a 3 course meal is laughable. The first course is a small silver dollar sized potato with nothing on it, the second course is a chicken leg with a spoonful of rice, the third course is a piece of tasteless cheese. They essentially call each side dish a course. Then they bring you to a scenic stop halfway up the mountain where dozens of tour buses and tours are stopped for people to pack in and watch…”
